New paper in Frontiers in Marine Science.

During May, Dr. Natalia Osma published part of her Postdoctoral work in “Frontiers in Marine Science”. Natalia specifically evaluates the role of carbonate chemistry dynamics on the response of coastal phytoplankton communities to high levels of pCO2, in two coastal areas of Chile: the estuarine zone of the Río Valdivia and the coastal zone of Arauco Gulf.

This work highlights the importance of the natural variability of coastal ecosystems and the potential for local adaptation to determine the responses of phytoplankton communities to increased pCO2 levels.
