Edson Piscoya

Edson has a degree in Fisheries Biology from the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University, Lambayeque, Peru.

Currently, he is a student in the Master of Science Program with mention in Oceanography at the University of Concepción. Here, he is carrying out his thesis work entitled “Physiological responses of marine phytoplankton to the synergistic effect of low pH and O2 levels“, within the framework of the FONDECYT project “CARpHOX”.

His areas of interest involve biological and chemical oceanography, and as part of the ECCA Lab, he has focused his work on the study of ocean acidification, and on the experimental estimation of the physiological response of phytoplankton to climate change.
